Spot Reduction is Possible Through Exercises
It has medically proven that spot reduction is not possible especially through exercising only a specific area of the body. Spot reduction is nothing more than a fallacy. When we exercise, it exerts stress on specific muscles involved in the exercise and strengthens those muscles.
When our body accumulates an excess amount of fat tissues and we start exercising, then these exercises boost our body’s metabolism to generate energy for routine tasks and for performing these exercises. The increased rate of body metabolism burns (breakdown) body fat and leads to weight loss.
This weight loss will be over the entire body not for a specific part or area of the body. For example, performing only abdominal exercises do not prove effective in losing fat around the waistline.
